Wolverine 744LTD Resole

The Wolverine Boots 744LTD features a shell cordovan unlined upper and all leather sole. Inspired by the 1950s work boot, with a scalloped edge cap toe. I’ve always found the toe box of the 1000mile boots a bit on the stubby side, and with the single leather sole, it made the boots look like baby shoes in the smaller sizes.

The leather quality of the sole was okay, but I decided to send it to Fukurokuju for an upgrade. I decided on a large welt for the double stitching, and Vibram rubber for the durability. They no longer look like baby shoes, but rather a hefty pair of English country boots, like a Tricker’s or something. They weigh a ton too, which I prefer for work boots.

The craftsmanship is brilliant as usual.
